Priest in Charge

Rev. Dr. Johnson currently serves as Priest-in-Charge at St. John’s in Salisbury and as School Chaplain at Salisbury School, where he teaches 11th-grade English and leads regular worship for a residential student body. His ministry blends parish leadership with education, following previous roles at Christchurch School, St. Paul’s Millers Tavern, and St. Mark’s Church & School in Fort Lauderdale, where he supported both congregational life and school leadership.

Formed by a multicultural upbringing and broad educational experiences, Dr. Johnson is deeply committed to inclusive ministry and expanding access to education. His career includes founding and leading programs such as Harlem Academy, the Oliver Scholars Program, and Trinity Academy, as well as serving in religious leadership at Princeton University.

A strong advocate for faithful stewardship, Dr. Johnson brings energy and skill to fundraising and institutional growth in service of the Church’s mission. He lives with his wife, Gabriela, an academic librarian, and their two daughters.
