Outreach

St. John's is a worshipping community with a meaningful and growing commitment to outreach. In 2022, six organizations received a total of $12,000, compared with $5,000 in 2021.

Salisbury Family Services, offering support for residents who are struggling

Corner Food Pantry, our local groceries for the hungry program

Hispanola Health Partners in Haiti, Haitian doctors and nurses providing full primary care to the country's most vulnerable

Episcopal Relief and Development, international program of the Church to improve quality of life in struggling communities

Jane Lloyd Fund to benefit cancer patients and their families in financial need

Chore Service, to help senior and disabled residents in the community remain at home

In addition, all the proceeds from our Fall Festival activities are donated. St. John's also supports TGIF Souper Supper, which provides a monthly free meal to all in the Salisbury community.

In 2023, our outreach program is budgeted to increase 18%, including potential new recipients. Legacy organizations may be increased, cut, or dropped -- the Vestry will be taking a careful and discerning fresh look.
